Family information

Family members are always welcome at Orientation! Our family program will answer typical questions parents want to know about CSU social and academic services.

What to Expect:

  • Great information from knowledgeable faculty and staff
  • Interactive sessions where you get your questions answered
  • Family members will participate in a program designed specifically for them while students engage in a separate student Orientation.
  • Parents are not permitted to attend advisment and registration with their student.
  • Family members should be prepared to stay until 5:00pm.

 Important information for Fall 2010:

  • ROAR is a two-day program.  Parents are encouraged to stay for the duration of the program as you will receive comprehensive information about your student's collegiate experience.  Please note that we must plan accordingly for food and supplies in advance. Your fees cover the cost of said items, therefore, we are unable to give refunds.  Students who need to change the date of their orientation may do so and your fees will then be applied to the changed ROAR session.
  • While CSU welcomes family members, we encourage you to make alternative arrangements for small children.
  • For those attending a Residence Life program (mandated overnight stay for students), parents should make alternative lodging arrangements.   We have provided a list of local hotels on our website for your convenience.

 Sample schedule coming soon.
